Gene: [06^/ADACF1] adenosine deaminase complexing protein 1; [ADCP1 ]

COM

The GDB and MIM Catalogues accept the code ADCP1 for a protein that form complexes with ADA. As a result, they are separated from ADA in the alphabetic list and; furthermore, this contradicts the rule of using the symbol

for pseudogenes. To avoid this, in the HUGEN the code ADACF (ADA Conversion Factor) is accepted."

FAG

The complex-forming ADCP protein is supposed to have two isoforms, ADCP1 and ADCP2. The latter is mapped to Chr 2 (see GEM:02q243/DPP4). For more information on the functional association with the red blood cell adenosine deaminase, see GEM:20q1311/ADA."

HET

It is possible that some forms of 'combined immunodeficiency' associated with the ADA deficiency (VanCong-1981) are actually accounted for by the ADCP protein alterations."
